Universal Studios Japan Guide: Where To Eat

Planning your trip to Universal Studios Japan (USJ)? There's so much to see and do, including seeing the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and sitting amongst dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park area!. Get excited cos here's 5 restaurants you need to check on your next visit!

Universal Studios Japan

Universal Studios Japan is located in Osaka and is one of four theme parks owned by NBC Universal. USJ as it's affectionately know is dedicated to popular American movies and features fun rides & live entertainment.

Mel's Drive-In (Hollywood area)

Mel's Drive-In, located on the far right side in the Hollywood area, is a fantastic '50s style restaurant serving up classic hamburgers. Come get a taste of Hollywood and take a picture with the classic cars parked out the front. It's like being on the set of Happy Days! Where's the Fonzie?! Yeeeeaaahhh!

Finnegan's Bar & Grill (New York area)

Step on down to Brooklyn and experience some true Irish atmosphere at this unique pub culture. Located next to the giant Universal statue its a perfect place to enjoy some hearty pub food and drinks.
Why not try some great pub food like this deep-fried onion blossom with some special mayo sauce. 1,140 yen.

The Dragon's Pearl (San Francisco area)

The Dragon's Pearl is located in the San Francisco area at the back side of the park. Set up like a cafeteria it's a convenient place to grab some lunch during all the fun! The fare here is pretty decent too with a variety of meals to choose from.
Prices start at around 1000 yen for combos depending on what you choose. I'd recommend the fried rice and chicken combo!

Discovery Restaurant (Jurassic Park area)

Remember the visitor center that appears in the movie “Jurassic Park”? They've modeled that set and created a themed restaurant. There's even a selection of "jungle-themed" dishes to choose from that a good combination between western Japanese cooking. Located in the Jurassic Park area. You can't miss it!
Try the "Jurassic" hamburg set completed with a "dinosaur egg"! It's kinda perfect if you're a Jurassic Park fan, love dinosaurs or just wanna eat something a little different. Prices start at around 1,500 yen.

Amity Landing Restaurant (Amity Village area)

Get here if you're a Jaws fan! Recreating the shipyard of Amity Village in the movie ‘Jaws', Amity Landing Restaurant serves up a selection of burgers and fried chicken and chips. Located in the Amity Village area look out for the little set turned restaurant. Prices start at around 1,300 yen.

Three Broomsticks (The Wizarding World of Harry Potter)

Three Broomsticks is a tavern inside Hogsmeade is a traditional favourite of the students and teachers at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Serving up traditional British dishes like fish'n'chips and shepherds pie you can't go wrong here. Just the place itself warrants a visit here.
The chicken and pork ribs is definitely a popular item on the menu, so when in doubt go for that! It comes with a full cob of corn and a side of seasoned potatoes. Prices start from around 1,800 yen.
One thing not to miss here is the Butterbeer, a specialty here!
