Ukai-Tei: incredible teppanyaki restaurant in Omotesando, Tokyo
Ukai-Tei is perhaps the most famous teppanyaki restaurant in the Omotesando/Harajuku area. Enjoy teppan-grilled Wagyu Beef as part of lunch or dinner courses.
Feel free to follow favy!
Ukai-Tei in Omotesando is a place of choice to experience high-end teppanyaki in Tokyo. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. It's located about a 5-minute walk from either Omotesando or Meijijingu stations.
The atmosphere is wonderful. With its large windows, it has arguably one of the most stunning night views of Omotesando. The decor is a mix of western and traditional Japanese.
If the weather is nice, you can dine on the beautiful rooftop terrace. This is a popular option during lunch hours. For lunch, they offer two amazing courses. The standard steak course is ¥9,900 and includes a marinated fish dish, roasted turnip, bouillabaisse, Wagyu Beef sirloin steak, the main dish of your choice, dessert with tea or coffee. There is also a special version of that is ¥13,200 that includes even more delicacies.
The teppanyaki Wagyu at Ukai-Tei is incredible. They use only top-quality rare cuts that are cooked to perfection on the teppan grill. You might want to have a counter seat for an evening course so that you get to see the chef masterfully grill your course's item one at a time right in front of you. Evening courses range in price from about ¥20,000 to ¥30,000.
Teppanyaki is often associated with Wagyu Beef but seafood cooked on the teppan grill is just as amazing. Ukai-Tei's courses also include some amazingly fresh quality seafood.
Ukai-Tei also boasts some scrumptious French-style desserts that are a feast for the senses. You'll be blown away by all the exquisite dishes you get to eat in a course from start to finish.
