Finish this Giant Omurice in Under 30 Minutes and it's Free!

A popular omurice restaurant with 10 locations around Japan recently started a new eating challenge: eat a giant omurice in under 30 minutes and get it for free! Fail and pay the ¥4,000 price tag. Think you could finish it?

The Challenge: Eat a Giant Omurice (10 normal servings) in Under 30 Minutes

This is the poster advertising the new eating challenge offered at 'Kanda Tamagoken' a Tokyo-based omurice restaurant with 10 locations around the country. The meat-loaded bowl of food has a total weight of 3.5 kilos (7.7 pounds) and must be consumed in under 30 minutes to successfully complete the challenge. Those who successfully finish it not only get the meal for free, but also get a ticket for a free meal the next time they visit and a Tamagoken T-shirt!

The giant omurice has 10 regular portions of food including 3 hamburg patties and 6 sausages as toppings. The sauce can be selected from among tomato sauce, hayashi sauce, or ketchup.
This eating challenge is definitely no joke, especially when considering the time limit. If you think you're up for it, why not give it a try?

The challenge is offered at 5 of the Kanda Tamagoken locations: Higashi ikebukuro, Akihabara, Jinbocho, Fukuoka, and Kyoto.

Kanda Tamagoken is an omurice specialty restaurant with 10 locations around Japan, mostly focused in the Tokyo area. The restaurant offers fast service, reasonable prices, and a nice variety of tasty omurice dishes.

The omurice served at Kanda Tamagoken is made fresh as soon as an order is placed. The shop's signature is its chicken rice and fluffy 'Fuwatoro' omelets that go on top.

The standard 'Tomato Omurice' (¥720) is reliably delicious, but the menu is filled with other interesting omurice creations that are also worth exploring.
