Why Go?

Yakitori is probably one of the most common foods to find at any izakaya across the country. You can even buy it at the convenience store! However, some restaurants, such as Osaka's 'Ichimatsu,' take yakitori to the next level, offering full-blown yakitori course meals which use special, premium chicken and expensive bamboo charcoal.

Ichimatsu specializes in yakitori of the highest quality, using premium, free-range Hinai chicken from Akita prefecture. Every bit of the chicken is used in a variety of dishes that will surprise and delight those lucky enough to eat at the restaurant! For an unforgettable yakitori meal in Osaka, this is definitely the place to go.

Everyone who dines at Ichimatsu gets to enjoy the omakase course menu, which costs ¥6,500 per person. The price is definitely justified, as you'll get to enjoy a splendid course of premium chicken cooked by a true expert.

Reservations / Access

Ichimatsu is quite small, with an 8-seat counter and one table with 4 seats only. On top of that, it's one of the most highly-regarded yakitori restaurants in the city, so getting a seat can be quite tricky. Plan ahead and make a reservation at least a month in advance in order to get a seat.

The restaurant is located about 5 minutes from Kitashinchi Station, just south of Osaka and Umeda Station.
