Here is the list of Halal restaurants in Fukuoka you need to try when you're there. The list comprises of Indian or Pakistani curry, Japanese cuisine and French cuisine.

Zaeka is an Indian and Pakistani restaurant which serves Halal meat and doesn't serve alcohol, furthermore, they also have vegetarian menu options. The chicken curry is delicious and if you aren't afraid of the calories, the cheese naan is amazing! A lunch course is between 800-1,400 yen. Dinner isn't so expensive either.


Hyder is a soup curry restaurant with a Bengladesh chef, which makes interesting curry dishes, such as "mentaiko" spicy cod roe curry. The curry is a little more expensive than most curry places (about 1,500-1,800 yen), but it is prepared with the uttermost care. Most of the patrons here are Japanese and come in for the tasty and spicy curry.


This restaurant makes crepes to go or for brunch. It feels a little like you're stepping into someone's house once you walk passed the bright blue door. Hence the name "L'amicale", which means friendly in French. The galettes are only 850 yen for lunch, and its comes with soup, a salad and a drink.

Yagorou Kashii

This soba restaurant serves Halal meat and vegetarian dishes. The "tenzaru" is particularly delicious and isn't expensive (1,140 yen)! It is a tempura plate with cold soba that you dip. The batter isn't so heavy so it's great even in summer.

Halal Food Marhaba

Halal Food Marhaba is a Pakistani restaurant, which is owned by a Muslim chef and serves Halal dishes, as well as vegetarian dishes. If you want to try authentic and incredibly savoury Pakistani curry dishes, this is the place to go!
