The Pancake Room

This cafe is a very pleasant place to visit when in Kyoto. Its laid-back, welcoming atmosphere and delicious brunch is the best way to start the day. Their pancakes are their claim to fame of course, but they also have other nice breakfast options. The pancakes come with some syrup and butter and have the right balance of sweetness and the perfect texture. Heavenly pancakes! The pancakes are about 1,000 yen.

Shiawase no Pancake (幸せのパンケーキ)

"Shiawase (幸せ/happy) no Pancake" is a place that will surely make you happy. They have a menu item called "Shiawase no pancake" (1100 yen), this menu item is named after the restaurant and is the most popular dish. It is served with rich honey and butter. Enjoy these simple yet fluffy and creamy pancakes.

This very cute cafe in Kyoto is a nice place to relax and unwind during a busy day of sightseeing. It can take about 20-40 minutes for them to make the pancakes, so it is not the place to go if you're looking for a quick meal. It is perfect for hanging out with friends, chatting while drinking coffee. Their pancakes are delicious, they are around 1,000 yen. You can choose between chocolate banana, caramel nuts, earl grey cream pancakes, etc.

Gram only offers these "premium pancake" (950yen) three times a day, and only 20 dishes at each serving time. The serving times are at 11 am, 3 pm, and 6 pm, so it is recommended to get to the restaurant 30 minutes to one hour earlier so you can put your name on the list.

This pancake tower comes topped with butter and powdered sugar, whipped cream and maple syrup on the side. The texture is very light and creamy. It's like a dream!

Rhinebeck

This gorgeous cafe is a collaboration between the owner Akiko Hirano, and Hudson Valley culinary arts teacher Cheryl Jean. The cafe is a 200-year-old Kyoto house that was converted into a beautiful cafe. For a perfect Japanese experience, you should stop by this cafe for delicious pancakes in an impressive environment.

ELK

The place serves fluffy pancakes for about 1,000 to 1,500 yen. They have a mix of sweet and savory choices. The caramel and orange pancake is particularly good. To any pancake dish, you can add 250 yen to get a coffee. For 680 yen, you can get 3D cappuccinos, which are as cute as can be! The pancakes are fluffy and filling!

Eggs 'n Things

This restaurant is extremely popular for its Hawaiian pancakes that are covered with a mountain of whipped cream! You get to choose the toppings on your pancakes so you'll get exactly what you want. Omelets are also customizable. You should probably choose the very delicious eggs benedict if you're looking for something savory. Most of the menu items are between 1,000 and 1,500 yen.
