Simple Matcha Chiffon Cake Recipe!

Chiffon cakes are super fluffy and soft cakes that make for a great dessert to serve when you have guests over. It is simple to make and delicious to eat. Have you ever dreamt of biting into a matcha cloud? This is as good as it gets!

Chiffon cakes are known for being incredibly fluffy and when you add matcha to the mix, it makes for quite a heavenly dessert! Matcha is full of antioxidants and is a very healthy superfood. It is said that the secret to Japanese's women beautiful skin is their daily consumption of green tea! So drink up friends!

Simple Recipe

<Ingredients>
FOR THE CAKE:
-3 eggs, separated
-1 tablespoon of matcha
-1 teaspoon of baking powder
-2/3 cup of cake flour
-1/2 cup of granulated sugar
-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
-4 tablespoons of water

FOR DECORATION:
-whipped cream
-a few strawberries

<Directions>
1. Preheat the oven to 325 F.
2. Mix the flour, matcha and the baking powder.
3.Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form when you pull the whisk. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and beat the mix.
4.In a medium bowl, beat the egg yolks and the sugar until the color becomes lighter. Add the oil and water.
5.Fold in the flour into the egg yolk mix.
6. Slowly fold the egg whites into the batter, about 1/3 of a cup at a time. Don't over mix.
7. Pour the matcha batter into an ungreased bundt pan. Bake for around 25-30 minutes.
8. The cake should have a soft, yet springy texture. Place the cake upside down onto a plate.
9. Let the cake cool completely.
10. With a spatula, very carefully get the cake out of the pan.

Once you are ready to serve it, simply cut it up in and serve with whipped cream and cut strawberries on the plate! Bon appetit!
