Damn Delicious Miso Ramen in Tokyo at "Miso ga Ichiban"

Three words. Creamy Miso Ramen. Miso ga Ichiban specialises in miso flavoured ramen. It's not your typical miso ramen though, it's like miso on steroids. Come hit the ramen gym of your dreams!

Are Ramen Unicorns real?

Yes!

If you're looking for melt-in-your-mouth pork, you've come to the right place. If you're looking noodles drenched in a thick and creamy miso soup, you've definitely come to the right place. If you're looking for a dreamy ramen dish that will knock your socks off, start a fire and cover you up with a warm blanket on a raining day, you've found a ramen unicorn!
Miso ga ichiban is a one of a kind noodle house flowing with bold miso flavours and toppings to boot! If you've never tried this kind of ramen before you're in for a treat. The soup is so rich it even makes Jeff Bezos look poor! What's more is that the portion size to price per bowl gives extremely good value for money; something that is sometimes rare to find when it comes to godly delicious noodle bowls.
To order your food you just put your notes or coins in the vending machine and press the button of the ramen you desire. There are heaps of extra toppings too, so add as much as you like to enhance your dish even further. Nearly everything is made in-house here, from the sauces to the soup and noodles and char siew pork.
My favourite is the tsukemen miso ramen, which is a dipping ramen. You get a bowl of the creamy miso broth and dip a little bit of ramen in the broth just before you eat them. It's a great way to enjoy the noodles and broth. I like to add a bit of house-made chilli oil to spice things up.

Getting there

Located about a 3-minute walk from the north entrance of Nakano station this place is located just off the main drag inside Sun Mall. Just look out for a small little alleyway entrance to your left and you'll see the entrance to the basement floor.
